I graduated from Semmelweis University of Medicine in 1982. Following that, I worked as a general practitioner for nearly ten years, then continued my career as the chief physician of the newly established home care service of the Hungarian Hospice Foundation. I passed my general practitioner specialist exam in 1988. From January 1998, I spent twenty-five years working at Semmelweis University in oncology care, initially as an assistant lecturer and later as a clinical chief physician. I was involved in treatment, research, and education. Currently, I work in the oncology outpatient clinic at the Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Hospital in Budapest. I obtained my oncology specialist qualification in 1999 and a palliative care license in 2014. In 2022, I founded and led the Hospice-Palliative Department at Semmelweis University.
My interests include preventive and regenerative medicine, systemic approach to medicine, primary, secondary, and tertiary oncology prevention, relapse prevention, oncology care and lifestyle counseling, oncothermia, Gerson therapy, pain management, supportive and palliative therapy, end-of-life dignity support and hospice philosophy, psycho-oncology, thanatology, integrative hypnotherapy, and Ericksonian psychotherapy.
I have two adult daughters who are the most important to me in my private life, but nature, theatre, music (especially classical), regular physical activity, and dance (Argentine tango) are also strong parts of my life.
